Therapeutic Horseback Riding for Children & Young Adults with Special Needs

Incorporated as a 501 (c)3 non profit corporation in 1993, Reins of Life proudly celebrates 18 years of service to children and young adults with special needs throughout the Delaware Valley and beyond.

What makes Reins of Life Unique?
  • Reins of Life launched its therapeutic riding program in 1993, becoming one of the first Chester County programs of its kind.
  • Our Chester County program exclusively serves children and young adults, ages 2 to 25 with special needs.
  • Our special equestrians never age-out of our riding program.
  • Reins of Life reached a significant milestone in it's organization acquiring it's own property, our "forever home" in Landenberg, PA.
  • Our property borders 3 states within 10 minutes of each other... PA, MD, DE
  • Reins of Life offers a new "Sibling Riding" program

Remember Reins of Life during the annual UNITED WAY Campaign.

Reins of Life is a Donor Option Recipient of Southeastern PA. Our donor code number is #5089. Please designate your donation to Reins of Life during the United Way Campaign and help support our non-profit organization, which benefits children and young adults with special needs, since 1993.

Volunteer and Make A Difference!

Reins of Life is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist children and young adults during their riding therapy. Though many of our volunteers have previous experience with horses or working with people with disabilities, no experience is required. We'll provide an in-service training, plus on the job training.

Under the supervision of ROL instructors, volunteers assist in lessons, care for program horses, and help with special events. Our volunteers help students groom and tack, lead a horse through a lesson, or walk alongside a horse and rider.
